
In my ‘healthy longevity’ world, HELP stands for Habits to Embrace for Longevity to Prevail.
This website is designed to get you that HELP. As is with life anywhere, there are times when you need HELP. No matter how strong, determined or powerful you are, life will throw you challenges and you will need HELP. I have needed HELP many times and so many good people have sat me down, listened to my troubles and given me solutions or suggestions that have made the world of difference. They have enabled me to get back onto the horse and rebuild the areas of my life that have fallen over. A big part of our lives that fall over in modern society, is health.

HELP is here for you when you fall off the wagon, when you feel like you have lost your way, when you acknowledge that you are a little lost or disheartened, when the work function is about to hit with ‘free alcohol and pastries’ and you are feeling overweight and tired and you lose sight of why you are doing this ‘stupid health thing’… This is when we need HELP.
It is harder than ever in our busy plugged-in stressed-out world
Just thinking about getting well in today’s obesogenic environment can feel like a massive ‘where do I even start’ uphill battle. You can feel very alone and confronted. I feel this way sometimes and I always find my way out of it by focusing on what is important, why I am doing this, what is my vision, my passion, my commitment, my goals, my deepest values. And then, most of all, remembering what it was like being sick every day. Then I build new habits or remind myself of old ones or reinvent the way I see them. The more we can change our daily behaviours from a negative unhealthy behaviour into a routine-based healthy one, the better we feel, sleep, eat, live and experience life. You will find many behavioural change articles if you are being challenged by your circumstances, family, friends, parties, kids, stress or the modern obesogenic environment.
