My 20 G.O.L.D.E.N. Rules
My G.O.L.D.E.N. Rules are built on the commonalities that the world’s healthiest populations and cultures have taught us. They have habits, lifestyle choices, food intakes and daily behaviours that are shared across the globe – regardless of climate, weather, religion, race or creed. I link relevant G.O.L.D.E.N. Rules to my articles, videos and podcasts. These learnings and rules are guidelines that when put together, create an exceptional holistic balance in health. These are to remind you that we are working towards a long healthy life free from sickness and disease. I had 25 years of poor health and now I have had 25 years of exceptional health. I have worked with thousands of people, over many years. I have found that underneath it all, underneath all the stress, ‘busyness’ and bravado, what human beings want most of all, is simply; healthy time. I call this ‘healthy longevity’, and this is why I focus on and teach what I call ‘healthy longevity’.
What does GOLDEN stand for?
Genetics Optimised by Lifestyle, Diet and Environment, Naturally!
This means you taking control of your genetic expression, via your diet, lifestyle and environment, in a natural and balanced way, to optimise your health and longevity. Prevention is the cure; the cure is prevention.
The Four Phases of My 20 GOLDEN Rules
Phase One: Prepare
Before you make change you must prepare. There are five GOLDEN Rules about ‘preparation and thought process’ that I recommend you consider before moving ahead. These are the ‘aha’ light bulb moment and paradigm changes that should occur before good habits are built, because they show you what may be lurking beneath your current food choices and lifestyle habits.
Phase Two: Practise
These are the five major influencers that will have the biggest immediate impact on your health:
- Avoiding and removing the toxins from your diet.
- Lifestyle and environment.
- Stretching and moving your body.
- Dramatically improving your diet.
- Rebuilding your gut bacteria.
These changes will start to shift your genetic expression, cell survival, vitality and health towards disease-free longevity.
Cigarettes, alcohol and the consumption of meat are controversial and challenging topics, to say the least. They all have huge marketing budgets at their disposal, and the information online and displayed by the media is often varied and unsubstantiated. In order for me to show you the realistic effects that these three topics have on your health and that of your family and friends, I took a very critical and scientific approach to my research. This means that the cigarettes, meat and alcohol information may be overwhelming, and at times confrontational — but nevertheless, it’s essential that you know the truth.
Phase Three: Persevere
This is the level of health where we start to really change behaviour. We improve the fibre content in our foods, we build routines and rhythm, we eat less, we get more sleep and we start fasting regularly and intelligently. And then, WE KEEP DOING IT! This is the beginning of deep changes to our daily habits, our cravings, our diet, our taste buds, the very way we experience our lives in regards to our ‘diaita’; our diet and lifestyle. This is when our genetic expression is affected positively and we thrive in our health and wellbeing.
Phase Four: Progress/Perfect
When we have mastered the first 15 GOLDEN Rules, we then embrace and practise the five final GOLDEN Rules and miracles happen. This is achieved by eating more soaked, raw, sprouted and fermented foods, controlling your acid/alkaline balance, looking at how you are combining and layering your foods, ensuring your daily diet is providing you with your essential nutrition, and easing back on stress, while increasing relaxation. This magical and proven combination is where almost all sickness and disease disappears and exceptional health returns.
NOTE When I say ‘perfect’, I mean ‘to perfect something’ rather than aiming for perfection. There is a difference; one will serve you and the other will frustrate you and drive you insane. Serve yourself by perfecting these habits, but do not undermine yourself by trying to be perfect. I should know, being a perfectionist myself!
