The marketing and advertising telling you to drink because it is good for you is not based in truth, epidemiology or science. It is all about selling product and making money.
In 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a stark warning about cancer and alcohol in 1988, saying “No amount of alcohol is safe”.
This was reiterated strongly earlier this year as WHO reminded everyone that alcohol is a CLASS ONE CARCINOGEN and is now the #3 cause of global death.
