The fourth leading cause of death in NZ is COPD

Just like asthma, this is a disease that could be immediately and radically reduced, yet it is the 4th leading cause of death for Kiwis.

COPD is officially “a progressive lung disease that can cause irreversible damage”.

Asthma NZ says in New Zealand “there are 200,000 people diagnosed with COPD, with many more likely living with the symptoms”.

Causes of death for New Zealanders:

  1. Heart disease
  2. Cancer
  3. Strokes
  4. COPD

All four diseases could be reduced by 50%-90% with diet and lifestyle changes, as I have blogged on many times over the past four years.

Notice how the biggest causes of all this disease; smoking, is still legal?
