Fat and heart disease and the study saying lots of saturated fat from animal foods is safe and good to eat

The problem with Western Science is that it tries to drill down into everything and find “the magic bullet” when there isn’t one.  The bottom line about a long healthy life free of drugs and disease comes down to many different diet and lifestyle choices.

Eating an apple will always be better than trying to find the magical component in an apple, then isolating it, extracting it, and recreating it from a genetically engineered piece of corn sugar, and then synthesizing this artificial substance into a pill, after 12 different chemical processes in laboratories.  Just eat the apple. It is not just the vitamin C that is good for you, it is the other 63 healthy components in the apple such as rutin, bioflavonoids, soluble fibre, insoluble fibre, minerals, phytonutrition and much more besides.

Apples taste and feel better as well.

As Dr Leo Galland (board-certified internist, author and internationally recognized leader in integrated medicine), says in this great article “The important message in the study gets lost in the oversimplified headline and cheesy photo.  The message hidden in this report is that the overall quality of your diet determines your risk of heart disease more than the intake of any particular individual fat.  That’s the kind of truth that will outlive 30 years.  Present evidence indicates that the ability of your diet to provoke inflammation may be the most important factor in the relationship between diet and health…”

Which diet is the best for lowering heart disease and lowering all inflammation in the human body?

A healthy, balanced, plant-based wholefood diet; alongside smart and careful lifestyle choices.
