Obesity becoming the new norm in Europe says WHO

Sadly, what will become the biggest preventable cause of death within 10 years is being seen as ‘normal’ all across the world.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) said earlier this week that “In a report on obesity levels in the 53 countries of the WHO’s European Region, up to 27% of 13-year-olds and 33% of 11-year-olds are overweight.  Being overweight is so common in Europe that it risks becoming ‘the new norm’”
