Another Cardiologist advocating a plant-based diet
This is happening more and more across the world now.
Doctors, cardiologists and heart specialists of all types, recommending that the absolute majority of what we eat (95% and more), should be plants.
Top cardiologist Dr. Robert Ostfeld is the founder and director of the Cardiac Wellness Program at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He earned his MD from Yale University and his MS in epidemiology from Harvard University.
- The Outstanding Full Time Attending of the Year award at Montefiore for excellence in teaching medical residents
- The Program Director's Award for dedicated service on behalf of the Montefiore-Einstein Cardiology Fellowship
- Was elected to the Leo M. Davidoff Society at Einstein for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students.
Ostfeld says “When we are born our bodies are turbo engines. A bunch of animal products and processed foods later, we turn our bodies into clunkers. A whole-foods plant-based diet can both prevent and reverse disease and can keep your body looking, feeling and functioning at its best”.
