Mediterranean diet gives healthy longevity
The secrets of the Mediterranean diet seem to be the mixture of healthy nutritional compounds alongside smart lifestyle choices and habits.
This is the same “plant-based wholefood diet” that I recommend to all the people I work with. The researchers found that simply put, ‘those who most closely followed the healthy Mediterranean diet had lower disease rates and mortality rates and lived longer, healthier lives’.
“The dominant components of the Mediterranean diet score as a predictor of lower mortality are moderate consumption of alcohol, low consumption of meat and meat products, and high consumption of vegetables, fruits and nuts, olive oil, and legumes”
