Meat drastically increases risk for diabetes and heart disease
Eat processed meat at your peril…
The mega-sized meta-analysis found:
- Eating just 50 grams per day of processed meat was associated with a 42% increased risk of coronary heart disease
- Eating just 50 grams per day of processed meat was associated with a 51% increased risk of type II diabetes
- Eating just 100 grams of unprocessed red meat per day was linked with a 19% increased risk for type II diabetes
