Cancer and diet link is well proven so why is nutrition overlooked in cancer treatment?
Thousands of scientific papers have been published on the link between diet and the treatment and prevention of cancer but in practice food is still considered a marginal aspect of cancer care, why?
Cancer survivor Sheila Dillon asked that question in a great BBC article yesterday.
Even conservative cancer society’s state that 50% of cancer is preventable and that a good healthy balanced diet, alongside not smoking or drinking, is the most powerful way to prevent cancer. From my intensive research, I have the number at around 95% preventable, and yes, diet is the single most important cancer-prevention strategy factor, alongside lifestyle and environmental choices.
