Lifestyle diseases now threaten Kenya in 2013
Kenya has been one of the worst hit countries for early death rates and communicable diseases.
The Kenyan life expectancy in 2013 is barely 58, up from 54 in 2008.
However, the Non-Communicable Disease Alliance of Kenya predicts non-communicable and lifestyle diseases will be responsible for up to 60% of all Kenyan deaths by 2030.
Over 81,000 cases of cancer are diagnosed annually, resulting in about 18,000 deaths.
