Heart disease will hit over half of all Americans
Thereafter just watch the heart disease rates continue to rise in every country that follows the standard American Diet (SAD)…
Study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association by Northwestern University cardiologist John Wilkins and colleagues. They looked over the data from five long-running studies of U.S. heart health from 1964-2008 on tens of thousands of people to gain accurate information on the long term risk of heart disease.
What was the conclusion?
Following the typical American diet:
- 45 year old men have a 60% lifetime chance of heart disease
- 45 year old women have a 55% lifetime chance of heart disease
- These lifetime risks are strongly linked to known heart risk factors such as smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol – all of which can be controlled through dietary changes and lifestyle changes
- The greater the number of risk factors, the higher the probability that a person will eventually get heart disease
