Young fit athletes dying from heart disease
If fitness was so protective for fit athletes then how come so many highly fit and strong young athletes die each year young?
Could it be that heart disease is a food borne illness?
Victoria Vetter, MD, professor of pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, says “The number of sudden cardiac deaths in young athletes at around 1,000 per year [USA]. We just sit and say it’s too hard and not do it, but there are kids dying every day”.
As we know, heart disease is all about diet, lifestyle and environment and then exercise - not the other way around.
