Malaysia’s oldest man dies age 117

Malaysia’s oldest man, Abdul Rahman Abu Bakar or ‘Pak Man’ died of old age at his home in Kampung Denger, Bukit Puteri, last week, age 117.

Pak Man (as he liked to be called) attributed his longevity to avoiding sweet, salty and milky foods, not smoking and eating lots of local vegetables.

In 177 years of life he never suffered diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke or heart disease of any sort.

He read books without glasses and moved about without a walking stick.
