Lifestyle and diet matters even in the elderly
It does not matter how old you are. If you change your diet, lifestyle and environment to support your health then you will get a result. I have seen this with hundreds of people I have worked with over many years.
What did the latest study find?
- Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and an active social network helped longevity even among the elderly
- Individuals older than 75 who were physically active and participated in social activities lived a median 5.4 years longer than those with a less healthy lifestyle and more limited social life
- Those who were 85 and older lived an extra 4 years if they remained active
