Breast cancer raised by a high sugar diet

This is yet more evidence linking the awful sugar-rich modern diet with that most feared disease; breast cancer.

The Research
The study was conducted by Isabelle Romieu of the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France, on nearly 335,000 women.  They were taking part in a long-running European study on nutrition factors and cancer risk.  The study was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2012.

The scientists found those eating a high glycemic diet – white bread, white sugar, refined carbohydrates – had a 36% higher risk of aggressive breast cancer.
