Who would have thought it? Walking is constantly being proved as the ultimate exercise. I have walked as my primary exercise for 20 years. Walking lowers the risk of almost every disease we know of.

The latest study was by Amanda Fretts, a researcher at the University of Washington in Seattle, who monitored 1,800 people wearing pedometers.
The researchers found that the higher the level of walking, the lower the rates of diabetes.
The study found that people who walked the most were 29% less likely to develop diabetes than those who walked the least.
